Fortis Time Management vs Productive
Profitability and Xero invoicing, without the agency ERP
Productive is a full agency operating system — CRM pipelines, task management, resourcing and more. If what you actually need is accurate time, approvals, live margin and invoices in Xero, Fortis Time Management does that with far less to set up.
No signup. No sales call.
Why teams look beyond Productive
Integrations and approvals are on Professional
On Productive's pricing page, invoicing integrations and billable time approvals are listed on Professional, not Essential.
Retainers need recurring budgets
Recurring budgets — Productive's way of running retainers — are a Professional feature.
A lot of system for a small team
CRM, task management, AI agents and HR time off are powerful, but they're a lot to roll out if you only need time and billing.

Questions about switching
Is Fortis Time Management a full replacement for Productive?
Not for everything. Fortis Time Management covers time, approvals, profitability, retainers, invoicing and Xero. If you rely on Productive's CRM, task management or expenses, those aren't in Fortis Time Management today.
Can I import my Productive time?
Yes. Export time entries from Productive as CSV and upload them. Fortis Time Management recognises the format and previews everything before import.
Does Fortis Time Management work with Xero?
Yes. Invoices are pushed to Xero as drafts, matched to the right contact, for your finance team to review and send. Sage and QuickBooks are coming soon.
Can I try it first?
Yes. Open the live demo — a fully loaded agency workspace with no signup.
